UPDATED: June 14, 2024

Eddie Flint, the rising country artist and active-duty U.S. Sailor, has released his heartfelt new single, Midnight Rider. The track is entirely written, recorded, and produced by Eddie, showcasing his multifaceted talent. This song tells the poignant story of his life’s journey, touching on themes of coming of age, heartbreak, loneliness, and the loss of his father.

Eddie’s journey from unpolished demos to a record deal has been remarkable. With millions of streams and a growing fanbase, Eddie’s authenticity and raw emotion continue to shine with a more polished track. His commitment to his craft, even while serving in the Navy, sets him apart in a crowded music scene.

This release marks the first of several singles leading to a debut album set to release in August. The rising star is gearing up for an exciting summer as he takes the stage at the Buckeye Country Superfest Official Tailgate on Saturday, June 22, 2024. Flint will share the tailgate spotlight with fellow artists Alana Springsteen, Dustin Kensrue, and Clayton Mullen. The tailgate is part of the larger Buckeye Country Superfest 2024, headlined by Zach Bryan, Billy Strings, and Turnpike Troubadours on June 22-23.

Later in August, Flint will join Whiskey Myers as an opening act on their arena and amphitheater tour. To cap off his summer of touring, Flint will return to his home base in Norfolk, VA, where he will headline for the crowd where he is stationed.

RootsnRevelry Review

Midnight Rider is a beautiful testament to Eddie Flint’s surgeon-like ability to craft a narrative and lace it with heartfelt melody. Instrumentally, the track is smart and bold, stripped down to just an acoustic guitar and stand-up bass. Flint leaves space for his voice, allowing the weight of his words to be felt. Heavily influenced by the Allman Brothers, it almost feels like a somber sequel to Ramblin’ Man. Flint details his trials and tribulations, loneliness, wandering, and the devastating loss of his father. The song is brutally honest and melancholic, offering little resolution—much like life at times.

Midnight Rider is another accolade under Flint’s belt, marking a significant step towards stardom for one of the genre’s brightest new talents.
